The Little Blue Doggy

There once was a little blue doggy
Whose tail was a red cotton rag
He was such a loosely knit doggy
That all of his friends called him Snag

His dad was a gigantic bully dog
Who liked to chew on a bone
His mom was a beautiful woolly dog
But he had a look all his own

'Cause he was a little blue doggy
Whose tail was a red cotton rag
Whenever his rag tail got soggy
He'd clean up the floor with a wag

One day his parents said to him
In their most rigid barking tone,
"Today you'll stay locked away
In the bathroom closet alone"

"Where will you go? I'm scared, you know!"
The doggy cried, "It's dark inside!"
"Now go to bed, don't make a fuss
Or else you'll have no more asparagus!"

So the parents of the little blue doggy
They went to the park for the day
To indulge in their favourite hobby
Of watching humans on display Humans on display

And so the poor little blue doggy
Alone in his dark, gloomy jail
Wiped up his wet, weepy, soggy Tears,
with his red cotton tail

He soon fell asleep and began to dream
And in his dream, let out a wail
A wicked and terrible fairy queen
Was slowly unravelling his tail!

There once was a little blue doggy
Who sported a red cotton tail
You may think his parents were shoddy
But that's not the end of my tale

For in that closet, goodness me!
There were a million tiny mites
And they were hungry as could be
So they started taking some bites

And so they snuffed his lovely tufts
They feasted down on every crumb
They shaved his head, ate all the thread
And, lastly, they nibbled his bum

When the parents of the little blue doggy
Returned from the human display
All that remained of their doggy
Was a small, soggy red cotton tail
Soggy cotton tail
