Curfew

Well, the judge told my mama, "Now, listen to me
I caught your little boy stayin' out past three
Juvenile delinquency has taken the lamb
We're gonna teach you a lesson
Two days in the can."

Well, I told the judge, "Don't you ruin her name
I broke the law, and I'll take the blame."
He said, "Son, you're only a child
We're gonna keep your mama here
With us for a while."

Well, my poor old father's goin' out of his head
Washin' all the dishes and makin' up the beds
He said, "Son, don't you do this no more
Or you and me once gonna
Hit the floor."

Well, me and my chick we take in the show
Cause that's the only place that we can go anymore
The show let out at five past ten
The next day Ma was back in
Jail again.

Curfew. Curfew. Curfew. Curfew. Curfew.
