Second Adam

The first man Adam became a living being
The last Adam became a life-giving spirit (1 Cor. 15: 45)
Just as we have borne
The image of the man of dust
We shall also bear the image
Of the man of Heaven (1 Cor. 15: 49)

One sin brought condemnation on all men (Rom. 5: 18)
For all have sinned (Rom. 3: 23)
And then death reigned (Rom. 5: 17)
For none is righteous
No not one! (Rom. 3: 10)
One act of righteousness
Covered all sin through Jesus' death (Rom. 5: 18)
On the cross where He became our sin (2 Cor. 5: 21; Col. 1: 20)
Once and for all (1 Peter 3: 18)

So we know that there is now no condemnation
For those who belong to Christ (Rom. 8: 1)
By believing in Him (Rom. 3: 22)
To some it seems too easy
To believe and be saved
But they're choking at a gnat (Matt. 23: 24)
'Cause the righteous live by faith Oh yeah (Gal. 3: 11)

In our sin He was alone, God left His only Son
And just before He died He said these words
That showed the work was done

It is finished
The work that saves from sin, it is finished (John 19: 30; Heb. 10: 14)
