Warm Summer Wind

I left my Kentucky home, over 20 years ago
Looking for the sunshine, running from the snow
I left lots of things behind me, some were good and some were bad
Some things I guess I'll miss, some I wish I'd never had

I left lookin' for that paradise
Lookin' for that way of life
Not like any other place I've been
Lookin' for that warm summer wind

The HI way can be lonesome, the HI way can be cruel
The secret to success is not playing by the rules
You know life is just a game, but at times it's all too real
Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose
Sometimes it's all up hill

The one thing I have found, on this lonesome road
That even on a summer's day, the winter chill can blow
So if you hit the road my friend, looking for that better life
Be careful what you ask for, Life's just a rolling dice

Now I hope you find you're paradise that you're lookin' for
I hope the way is kind, I hope your spirit soars
May the wind be at your back, and the sun be on your face
May this old life be kind to you, and the good times come your way
