Run Wild. (feat. Andy Mineo) - Commentary
Run wild uh opnes up the album here,
and was kinda inspired by my son at
The time we were writing the album I
was at home one day I was watching my
sun and he was just leanring how to
walk and I was faciniated wth how he
Would stumble around and ya know
skin his knee and yet he felt like he was
Running wild in the discovery of
life; but yet he felt so safe within the
Confines of my wife and I's love for
him. and so I thought it would be a cool
Idea to write a song about it so I
went into the studio and came up with this
Idea of runing wild and I kinda
passed it along to joel and said hey what do
You think and out came this song
called run wild. and its kinda an interesting
One to add to that in that we wrote
it in really 3 diffrent places. we wrote
Some of it in los angles,
alot of it in nashville and the Andy Mineo raps on it,
He wrote his raps in new york and then
a portion of it was actually written in
The back of a tour bus while we were
driving down the road so it definitely is
An eclectic song but we love that it opens up the record for sure.
