The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song Explained
This track, uh, has got one of the most obvious and strange titles
I think that we've ever, uh, come up with, it is called "The yeah yeah yeah song"
And only, uh, just today that I hear the first person, uhm, uh
Tell me, a little bit to my surprise, that I don't know why I hadn't thought of it earlier,
That, uhm, is always singing about the group the yeah yeah yeah's, ooh (oof)
I know, it has never ocurred to us 'cause at the begining of the song somebody says
"Yeah yeah yeah", uhm, anyway, I think that the main inspiration for this song, uhm
Came from that, a little cluster of a vocal recording that Steven did, uhm
We were recording up at Dave Fridmann studio, Tarbox Road Studios
Up in, eh, western New York, where he's got that mega setup, all his
Billion dollars worth of equipment there, but Steven had taken up his own
Little Pro tools setup and he was working in one of the vocal booths
Off to the side there, and I walked past his vocal booth one day and you had this, uh
You had this little piece, what were you thinking when you, when you...
Uhm, it was actually the end part of a dumb little acoustic song that had nothing to do
with this song it became. I thought I would probably record it and it would be one of
those littles things that I have in my computer that, uh, I would never play for anybody
'Cause it'd seem really weird and annoying I suppose (There you go) yeah
It just would've like just became one my little pieces of music that I have (There you go)
You know what the great thing is that, uh, is that children seem to really
Identify with this song, I've heard three of (Kids really liked it, there you go)
Citing whether they liked "yeah, yeah, yeah", or "no, no, no", depending on their
Depending on their mood at the time.
There you are, you can trust, you can trust the wisdom of children
Yeah (...likes brutal honesty of children)
Yeah, you can't trust radio stations, MTV, or corporations, yeah
but those little kids you can trust
So anyway, just that's how a little bit it sort of came out about now, hope you liked
It's called "The yeah yeah yeah song" and, uhm, let's see how it goes, here we go.
