It's So Sad To See The Old Hometown Again

Yesterday, I ran away,
I said that I'll be coming back again.
Kept in touch, but not that much.
I really should have called you now and then.
I can see where I went wrong,
stay away too long, loneliness sat in instead of me.
It's so sad to see the old home town again.
It's sadder seeing cause you're not mine.
Oh, I hope he's given you all the things I wanna to.
And I hope that both of you are doing fine.
That's the prize I guess to pay for being away.
Yesterstreet, we walked upon, still can feel you walking by my side.
Used to meet, stay up till dawn.
We live, we laugh, we love, we sometimes cry.
And the old church proudly stands, remember how they planned.
The wedding may would have for you and me.
It's so sad to see the old home town again.
It's sadder seeing you cause you're not mine.
All the place still looks the same. Nothing's different but your name.
I believe it's out of sight, it's out of mind.
That's the prize I guess to pay for being away.
