Paper Dove

The wind was howling come with me, I raised my hands and dropped down the gun.
Then he looked into my eyes and said, "Will you ever come back?".

These chains I will break even though we might die,
we'll dance and we'll laugh in the moonlight tonight!
Can't you see the city lights shining down under us?

Like a paper dove in the wind I will dance wherever you lead me
When the rain has weared down my wings I will sleep
and wait for tomorrow to come

They said that we might crash and fall, but I will see through it and I will stand tall
of these darkest times what I have learned, is open your eyes

These chains I will break even though we might die,
we'll dance and we'll laugh in the moonlight tonight!
Can't you see the city lights shining down under us?

Like a paper dove in the wind I will dance wherever you lead me
When the rain has weared down my wings I will sleep
and wait for tomorrow to come

When you tried to make the best of what you've got in your hands,
then all we had was worthless to them anyway, so why bother try?
does it matter to you anymore, to anyone at all,
that all we knew was faded away with the rain so far away?
one step and there's no coming back,
I spread my wings and fly away, I'll fly away

Like a paper dove in the wind I will dance wherever you lead me
When the rain has weared down my wings I will sleep
and wait for tomorrow to come
