I've been down this road before
At least a hundred times or more

Started from the bottom made it up to here
Worked up to this point for the last 30 years
Perplexing emotions feel different but equal
To be happy or sad both effect your cerebral
This climb's steep and treacherous and challenges our faith
We don't give up
we see it through and journey everyday
Each man controls his own fate
And has to make it his own way
Dig the trails, clear the path make it easy for his family
But eventually that rock erodes and when it breaks down
It may not be what he wants but its God's will now
Its an empty field when you realize
That your rocks gone in them hard times
When you turn to lean but there's no one
And you face plant on that hard line
You lay there and inside you play back those tough talks
When your luck sucked and you fell down
And he had to help you up cuz
That trust in him to fall back on to be strong when you feel weak
It can't stop when that climb calls got to stand up on your feet
Inside you lies a flame
Can't you hear me calling out your name
And you've always had the spark to make it shine
Light that fuse and watch your passion fly
On the verge of burning alive no reason to stop
Drop and roll born restless with this soul that I got
Lots of drawbacks managing perfecting the flaws
Now at the point that it's too steep
With what I'm trying to haul
I got to choose to either stay or just let go of it all
And I'm not stupid i know doing this influenced you all
But I choose family I won't let this journey ruin us all
And Let the music run me over till I'm blue in the balls
Even if its true or its false
For whatever it cost
With all the traditions we've lost
My family duty it calls
To make the circle revolve
And aint no mountain to tall
To raise our children with a purpose
That's the point of it all
Every second every step I've always found a way to climb
Up a little higher another way to rise
Dreaming there's a view that other people cannot see
I got to make it over this there isn't a choice of defeat
