Destruction

Can you see the barren lands
Now that they are crying,
Where no one is alive,
On plains that once were green
And now are dusted,
With nothing left to be respected,
It must not be that way!
Slates are breaking here
On roofs once full of life
Falling down on holes of rats
And rotting chairs.
It must not be that way,
The future must have a say!

Can you see the eagle fly
On back of lion,
Clawing, fighting, seeking blood,
Then blood it is a pouring
Dripping in the sand,
You watch but lend no hand,
It must not be that way!
Eagles soar on rocky ledge
Waiting for his pledges,
Seeing all that crawl below,
Then rush to meet them,
It must not be that way,
Angels die a different way!
It must not be that way!
Angels die a different way!

Can you see destructions here
Your nose is rubbing,
It makes its self so clear,
But may be days will come when it's respected,
Then chase to kingdom come,
It must not be that way!
Everyone should realise
It's dangers lurking,
Here, there, behind your back,
Destructions working,
It must not be that way,
Life's the price we pay,
It must not be that way,
Life's the price we pay!
