Worldly Possessions

I've been trying to do things right
For almost ten years now
And I'm a bit sore from all the times
That I've been blown up to be let down
And right now my lungs are full of air
But I won't dare to breathe

I've been holding this same hand
For almost a decade now
Should I fold and lose this round before I'm old
Useless and way too cynical
Before it's way too late for something new

I know it will be long before I'm old
But my songs are all I own
So if I go before I'm old
I wish to leave these possesions to the world

I've been far enough to see the grass
From a greener side
I've made friends enough to keep me laughing
Back through the starting line
And all the while I built a wall
The size of my memories, it stands strong
