I Felt The Hand Of The Man, Called Jesus

I went for a walk last Sunday
Past our little country church
From outside I heard the music
And it made my old heart hurt
So I went inside and I sat down
As it was time for them to pray
Well I felt a hand upon me
And an old man cried that day

It was the hand, of the man called Jesus
I could tell by the nail scarred hand on me
And he seemed to say, son if you pray
Then I'll be there for you
I felt the hand of the man, called Jesus

I slowly got up from my seat
And started walking down the road
I thought I'd go pay her a visit for awhile
In my hand held tight was a single rose
To place on her grave cause Heaven knows
How much I loved her
And then I cried just like a child

Then I felt the hand, of the man called Jesus
I could tell by the nail scarred hand on me
And he seemed to say, son if you pray
Then I'll be there for you
I felt the hand of the man, called Jesus

I felt the hand of the man called Jesus
