Word From Moe Luv Interlude - Commentary
Words from Moe Luv
Yeah, I would like to explain
Words from Moe Luv came about
Moe luv is a friend I grew up with
His name is David Grant but we called him Moe
One of my boys I grew up with in Chicago
Since we were like you know, 12 years old
Rolled around the neighbourhood together
Very intilligent and real person
We came from the hood getting into different things but
He's you know, went on to having his family, handling his business
Just a good man like and we were talking on the phone
And I was like, man, he's saying too much wisdom for me to not like
Be able to put this out 'cause it was a real philosophy
About where we are in the world
And I really loved what he was saying
So I just wanted to keep, keep what he was saying
And I was like just started recording him
And you know it was, it was kind of not full circle but it's
It's a connection to this because on my second album Resurrection
He had an interlude, where he was talking some fun stuff
And being funny and talking 'bout this girl
But now it just shows, shows the evolution of Moe
So that's, uhm, "Words From Moe Luv"
And that's the whole thing
Of course the music was done by
The great Karriem Riggins and Robert Glasper
