Which is from roughly 2009, 2010
I was living briefly in Venice, California and working
On some bits and pieces of, of what became "Break It Yourself", uhm
And you can hear here, I've kinda shifted the, the phrase
To fa- to fall on, uh, over different chords
Uhm, we're used to start on the A chord
Now, it starts on the D chord
Uhm, and there is a, a new melody emerging, and
And some new lyrics, and
It's, it's sort of becoming a little more my kind of song
And getting farther away from the old
Country blues thing where it started
Uhm, and this never made it on a record
Uhm, but this is just all me doing it, everything myself
And, uh, I'm still kinda sketching it out, I guess
Uhm, and so this is, uh, "Venetian Bed Maker"
