Midnight Ghost
Stars are falling off the sky and everything seems lost today
Tried to open my arms wide but the pain remains inside
All my thoughts crashed right from the start, it turned out to be awfully hard
Just to say what I want to say and walk along this stony way
Did I miss the train that left today for no-man's-land?
And did you see this shooting star drown in the sand?
Met a girl who had a fight, shouted at her friend with hate
"I won't be by your side when the stars all slowly hide!"
Then she went right out of his room to find herself another groom
But all that may just as well be her thorough guilty plea
Did I miss the train that left today for no-man's-land?
And did you see this shooting star drown in the sand?
An old woman said to me that all the moral's lost today
All the bad folks multiplying and all the good ones passing away
She argues me into her truth, wants me to break all the rules
But I won't blindly follow her, I dislike being somebody's tool
Did I miss the train that left today for no-man's-land?
And did you see this shooting star drown in the sand?
When I was walking down the road a beggar whispered into my ear
"Boy, you better watch out"
And then he began to shout
"He's the one who fired the gun!"
So I jumped up and began to run
But that wasn't worth a try
I went straight to jail and I still wonder why
Tried to open my arms wide but the pain remains inside
All my thoughts crashed right from the start, it turned out to be awfully hard
Just to say what I want to say and walk along this stony way
Did I miss the train that left today for no-man's-land?
And did you see this shooting star drown in the sand?
Met a girl who had a fight, shouted at her friend with hate
