The Light
Orange sky fills the top of the atmosphere
Shades of red sent to bed far away from here
Eyelids fall deep into these westward spells
Soon enough you know the pair will rest themselves
In the dark, like the night
All the credits roll
Creatures small, see them all
Stir the midnight soul
Inbetween theres a moment
I can hear it now
Mother nature takes a breath
Wipes her brow
As we try to clip the wings of time
So it wont fly
Time stands still, loses will
And she passes by
And as we try to classify the essence
Of both day and night
Shes the one turning on
The light
Yellow moon takes the place
Of the setting sun
Often times he will rise
Before the day is done
Sun, it shines
Loves to greet her oldest friend
As the wind greets the sail
Of the fishermen
And the two rule the sky like a king and queen
Watch them rise with the tide
And the old pine trees
For rhe tides
They always go through highs and lows
And the pines
They always reach for something more
As we try to clip the wings of time
So it wont fly
Time stands still, loses will
And she passes by
Aswe try to classify the essence
Of both day and night
Shes the one turning on and off
The light
Oh the night
Only mother natures overcoat
All the while
Morning waits until she clears her throat
And the moon shine
Makes the old pine
Sway and bend
Til the new dawn
Turns the pages
And we gaze upon a face again
Orange sky fills the top of the atmosphere
Shades of red sent to bed far away from here
Eyelids fall deep into these westward spells
Soon enough you know the pair will rest themselves
In the dark, like the night
All the credits roll
Creatures small, see them all
Stir the midnight soul
Inbetween theres a moment

As we try to clip the wings of time
So it wont fly
Time stands still, loses will
And she passes by
And as we try to classify the essence
Of both day and night
Shes the one turning on and off
on and off the light
Shades of red sent to bed far away from here
Eyelids fall deep into these westward spells
Soon enough you know the pair will rest themselves
In the dark, like the night
