Hatheg-Kla

I have come
To gaze at gods
Beyond the slopes
Of ice and snow
This strange eclipse
Will be my cloak
They can not flee
For I am soon
Upon their peak
Where no man's been
And none shall dare
To reach again

We have travelled for thirteen days
To reach the base of hatheg-kla
Waiting for fog and mist to bring the gods
In chariots of the clouds
No fear
No reservations
No regrets
No second guessing
We will watch the gods of earth
Dancing where mortals have never seen

Days and night
Have passed without
A trace of fog
But lo' the cliffs
Now dress themselves
In darkened wisps
And now we climb
And scale the rock
At blistering pace
And i can hear
The howling gods
Their screams I taste

As we climb the laws of man
Succumb to those higher of hatheg-kla
Although the slope increases
Greater the ease is
To reach the summit now
So bright
So close
So loud
So now
I am but moments away
From watching the mystical dancing gods

I have come
To gaze at gods
Beyond the slopes
Of ice and snow
This strange eclipse
Will be my cloak
They can not flee
For I am soon
Upon their peak
Where no man's been
And none shall dare
To reach again
