Ritual
A village underground never see the sun
Burrowing and tunneling below all the soil, leading to a covenant of creatures of fantasy
Only in the dark do they venture to the surface in the wild
Running with the wolves and nocturnal beasts, gathering ingredients to bring forth an ancient one
Moving in the shadows as they sing to the universe
Filling up a cauldron of black with the recipe they live from
Stirring of the pot will soon be underway as everything is put into the center of a boiling broth
The conjuring and toiling of a specimen so curious, resulting in creation of a strange elixir
Tampering the formulaic recipe, the process of perfecting it has carried on for centuries
And many generations of the paranormal entity have put into it all the magic of their bloodline
They sing a dark hymnal as they work under the stars
Tears of joy and tears of sorrow
Blood that beats and blood still gone
Down the river of the ancients
River of the yet to be, river of eternity
Time is of the essence as the hour's approaching and the summoning will soon begin
And bring an ancient deity into the center of a pentagram upon the ground
And will then rejuvenate the spirit hiding in the wilderness
Cauldron is emptied, fermented drink poured into the goblets of all who surround the flame
Chanting grows in volume as slowly intoxication reaches to the mind of the hidden race
Only in this state can the brain allow visions of protectors of the trees to be understood
So with nothing holding and reserving prejudgment
The wooden creature towering erupts from the depths of the midnight soil
They sing a dark hymnal as they work under the stars
Tears of joy and tears of sorrow
Blood that beats and blood still gone
Down the river of the ancients
River of the yet to be, river of eternity
The earth is moving, churning underneath the soil as
Something is breaching forth from another world
Underneath the canopy of tree tops
Awakening into the witching hour a dark incantation ends
Tears of joy and tears of sorrow
Blood that beats and blood still gone
Down the river of the ancients
River of the yet to be, river of eternity
Burrowing and tunneling below all the soil, leading to a covenant of creatures of fantasy
