Wipers & Blinkers

Rain on the highway, rain on the windshield
Rain in my mind because of how much that I miss you
Driving on this road dressed in my monday best
So I guess it's a good time to get it off my chest, you see
Friend, you were wrong about driving high
It's not as easy as it looks, and I might just die
But if I crash that means I'll go missing you
At least this song will be the last one that I listened to

Rain on the highway
Rain on the windshield
Rain in my mind because of how much that I miss you
Being hers has never been harder
But I love her too much to give up and discard her

My brains starting to race faster than my m.p.h
And I'm starting to think that my car doesn't have any brakes
Why cant Wipers & Blinkers go the same tempo
Sure it'd be tough but can't they just make an attempt though
Hell, I can't even go the same tempo and
I don't know how to write music or to even rap fast or slow
And as i drive across this bridge I'm noticing I don't know how to write one
I need to quit being so negative, set my goals just quit being so hesitant
And yet I've been driving for about four hours and my destination is completely indefinite
I've never been too good at driving
I know I can't hold a steady speed
And it doesn't help that I'm driving high
But really though, can you blame me

Rain on the highway
Rain on the windshield
Rain in my mind because of how much that I miss you
Being hers has never been harder
But I love her too much to give up and discard her

Maybe I should crash my card
Maybe I should drive as far as the horizon
Just take one swerve off the road
Watch the sunset as I go underwater

Rain on the highway
Rain on the windshield
Rain in my mind because of how much that I miss her
Being hers has never been harder
But I love her too much to give up and discard her
