Inquilab

Picture this: peace gave birth to a nation

A country with diversity, no marginalisation
A place where unity runs in your blood and your veins
Somewhere different religions thrive on the same lane
The fucking poster boy for democracy
You call that India? I say bullshit, hypocrisy

Freedom, after they weaponised non violence
Their pleas echo across the decades met with guilty silence
I see the body of the Bharat that could've been
As it's devoured by the parasites we blindly trusted in
What fucks with me? is the body's still alive
They say: "parasites are part of life and we gotta survive"

I've watched from the outside, known that it's all wrong
As they killed us from the inside, same old song
I've had enough, no more dancing to their tune
It's time to make a stand in this last chance saloon
We gotta let that inferno, burn behind our eyes
Get off our knees, stand tall and rise

By making education captivating
Destroying the mindless cycle of revision and regurgitating
Only Fiery young minds can burn to ash
Administrations run by reputations and cash
No phoenix, we, the green shoots emerge
The imperfect, human, natural purge

Now I feel it in my bones, see them smile from up high
This is where it begins, change is nigh
We stand united: one body, one heart
Indecision? No, this is where we start
It's gonna be war and we gotta fight hard
No flags in the air: inquilab zindabad

Looking back we'll smile 'cause we weren't alone
Reminisce on how we made this country our own
A place where unity runs in your blood and your veins
Somewhere different religions thrive on the same lane
A nation: the poster boy for democracy
We call it India: no bullshit, no hypocricy
