Fantasist

Trial and tribulation made me who I am
I've been looking back on how this all began
To tell the truth I've never been an optimist
Flowers bloom when we feel the opposite
Reassessing the character to my narrative
I became this fantasist

Deep down I know I am on the right road
It could be a capstone to my crescendo
There's beauty in the struggle
I'll go where the wind blows
Where the wind blows (where the wind blows)
It's out of my control

You feel the pain, the strain, praying for better days
Death is standing at the gates again
And in my ear he's whispering defeat
Now I'm questioning everything, everything

Follow my lead and stand by me
You're not the only one that's suffering
Follow my lead and stand by me
You're not the only one

Deep down I know I am on the right road
It could be a capstone to my crescendo
There's beauty in the struggle
I'll go where the wind blows
Where the wind blows (where the wind blows)
It's out of my control

You feel the pain, the strain, praying for better days
Death is standing at the gates again
And in my ear he's whispering defeat
Now I'm questioning everything, everything

Follow my lead and stand by me
You're not the only one that's suffering
Follow my lead and stand by me
You're not the only one

Praying for better days
Death is standing at the gates

I'm hanging on to a beautiful feeling I held inside
Once upon a time, I remember when it took over my whole life
I'm longing to feel, something that is real
A part of me has died, there's a thorn in my stride
The universe smiles back at me whilst the rest remains a mystery
Precipitate the pain and wash me away
