Justice for All
I'm appalled and disgusted
Evil in people these days have all been destructive
The fact that racists, blatant or subtle walkin' amongst us
Reason why many people had to fall from injustice
So how can I navigate this masquerade
The truly misguided consumed by wrath and hate
As the madness aches like a stomach inside me
Scripture says no one should think they're more highly
Than another, we're all sisters and brothers
God's kaleidoscope of people made with different colors
Fearfully and wonderfully made
Decades since the Civil Rights movement, but what's really changed
Mistreated minorities are still victims of law
Doesn't take an expert to conclude the system is flawed
Sad to hear prison is all
They want to see but end up killed by police 'fore the matter's even resolved
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
Why the police seem to be above any law
Tears keep sheddin' when bad judgement is called
So we declare in this nation give justice for all
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
Why the police seem to be above any law
Tears keep sheddin' when bad judgement is called
So we declare in this nation give justice for all
I've seen the videos and read the articles
Could've never fathomed of how far it'd go
They ask how well in the garden is where it started so
Now it's pumpin in everyone's hearts, cardio
I'm talkin' about this sin the selfishness within
The attitude of at least I'm not like the rest of them
But how a person views it blinds them from what's real
Racism's hidden like weapons concealed
But if the weapon's not revealed and they killed at any rate
Many wait for conviction it could happen in any state
A man of the gospel can't just watch from the sidelines
Do more than just provide rhymes still let His light shine
And when is the right time to address this elephant oooh
Race and social injustice is so relevant too
Complacency has got them wonderin' whether to move
Or say it's not my fight I'm tellin' the truth
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
Why the police seem to be above any law
Tears keep sheddin' when bad judgement is called
So we declare in this nation give justice for all
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
Why the police seem to be above any law
Tears keep sheddin' when bad judgement is called
So we declare in this nation give justice for all
I've been stopped by cops and got in trouble with them
But never thought I was pulled over for my color of skin
Walked into stores and greeted with smiles and waves
No one's following me around seeing how I'd behave
But felt shame for being swayed in my fear from peers
Like Peter at the table fellowship chose steerin' clear
From the Gentiles cause they lacked circumcision
But then Paul stepped in disapprovin' that certain vision
See us Christians that are up in the church
Need to advocate for the voices that wanna be heard
Cause we should all be at the table learnin'
Sharin' burdens while prayin' for the hurtin'
And brokenhearted who just wanna see justice served
Instead of seeing their loved one under dirt
We gotta turn to God and trust His Word
And love one another cause He loved us first
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
Why the police seem to be above any law
Tears keep sheddin' when bad judgement is called
So we declare in this nation give justice for all
The world's broken, corrupt from the Fall
