Vacation - Commentary

Probably one of my favorite things about that song is the video
I love it
If you haven't seen it, you've got to check out "Die Happy Man"
Just go to vevo.com, you can see it on there
Hey there, I'm Becca, this is Big Machine Radio
And we are celebrating the release of Thomas Rhett's "Tangled Up" deluxe album
Which is out now
So we're going back and we're playing all the songs off the original "Tangled Up"
Plus the five additional songs on the deluxe
And we're talking to Thomas about the songs on the album

And, you know
When you and I talked when this album was just about to come out a year ago
You told me that you really kinda pushed the limits on this album
And you were a little nervous about how people would respond
But they've loved it
It is an amazing album
And talk to me about "Vacation"
Because this one probably pushed the boundary more than other songs on "Tangled Up"

The first I heard that track I was like I don't know what we gonna write over this song
But we, we have to write a song from just epic
And you know for the first time you listen to it
I think a lot of people would immediately think "Lowrider"
Which was immediately what I thought
So the writers that wrote "Lowrider", the band, War, are actually co-writers on this track
And um, I just
I think it's gonna be one of the songs that we'll be able to end our set with for a long time
I see people having such a blast to this song
I think this whole song is very tweetable, if you will
There's so many lyrics in this song I can see a lot of people tweeting and hashtaging
Party like your own vacation

I always love that line
I got my solo cup amplifier playing all my jams
'Cause I've seen people do that
They stick their phone in a solo cup and actually it makes the volume louder on your phone
If you haven't done it, try it
Maybe try it with this song
Crank up "Vacation" it's off "Tangled Up" deluxe from Thomas Rhett
And it's on Big Machine Radio
