Wake up to the rooster when the sun starting to rise
Wipe the kitchen rub the morning of my eyes
Working hard for food and housing but I haven't spend a dime
I'm far away but feel like home at the same time

Deep down in a valley is were I'm spending my days
Building stem walls pick the rocks along the freeways
Mountain tops and blue skies as far as I can see

Good morning to Lyanne she's up tripping on her toes
Every Wednesday farmers market off she goes
When my hand rolled cigarette is ending Sarah's out of bed
She's in her morning mood don't mock her til she's fed

She talks about her struggles though we met just days ago

Endless conversations and laughs over the day
Although I love it somethings pulling me away
