Catfish's Buddy

Me N catfish found a clunker of a car and fixed it up just fine
And when she was ready we took her out for a ride
Then he starts drivin' real crazy and drove it up a tree
The next thing I know there's ol' catfish running away from me
When the fireman came and said, let me help you down son
I said thank you sir that's more than catfish would have done

We went out for drinks and catfish is talkin' to some ladies at the bar
When their boyfriends came over and said who do you think you are
Catfish said me n my buddy we'll take you both on
Well don't you know once the punches started flyin' ol' catfish was gone
If you came up to me after the beatin' was done
And help me to my feet and handed me my hat
That's more than catfish would have done

Catfish started running around with the new girl in town
But he didn't want his wife to know he was steppin' out
So he told this new girl that his name was mine
When word got around to my old lady who was showing her such a good time
She starts throwin' my stuff out the window yellin' get out of here you bum
And if you gave me a garbage bag to shove my clothes in
