These Old Shoes

Sometimes I think it's time to settle down
No more roaming, town to town
People would know my name, where I live, and from where I came
And when I pass you by, we could just say "Hi, how ya doin"
Sometimes I think it's time to settle down

But these old shoes have to roam
Taking me back to my country roads
To places I've never been
Something around the bend keeps calling me
These old shoes, are taking me home

Sometimes I dream of a piece of land
In that valley where I camp
Let my roots take hold
I would build a home, with my hands
Sometimes I wish I had that piece of land

Sometimes this lonesome life gets to me
And my heart echos this empty beat
And by the campfire light
I think about a wife, a family
Sometimes this lonesome life gets to me

Theses old shoes, are taking me home
