November 4th our anniversary
8 months later who woulda thought we be in a nursary
July third eleven twenty seven PM
Ya momma pushing i could see ya lil head is peaking
5 pounds 4 ounces u was born a premie
Aint hear u scream but i could hear ya heart was beating
1 plus 1 equals 2 now me and mommy even
Together we was whole but u the Plus 1 that we needed
U kept me driven... u was the reason
The reason i woke up the reason i went to work
The reason why my sneaker money went to rent on the first
And thats why you the reason that i wrote this verse
It took a couple weeks just for me to hold you
But it wasnt nothing like the way ya momma hold you
A feelin like no other i cant even explain it
The way u smiled everytime i made my siilly faces
Ya little chinky eyes ya little chubby cheeks
U looked more like ya mother than ya did like me
As weeks passed ya skin got darker and ya hair got thicker
Ya nose got wider and ya lips Got bigger
U looking more and more like me each and everyday
And u starting to act like me each and every way
I start rappin u be singing in the back
U tried on all my clothes from my sneakers to my hats (facts)
U say that im ya hero but ya actually mine
U helped me escape from a life a crime
I prolly woulda been in jail or woulda been dead
But i was there to burp u and change ya diaper instead
I missed ya first steps momma recorded for me
She knew those kinda moments was so important to me
I taught u how to shoot a ball and how to ride a bike
I was ya first teacher, taught u how to read and write
It was so important for me to be there for u
To show i not only love but i care for u
And Thats the reason why u are who u are today
And U smarter than i was when i was your age
And your beautiful im talkin in and out
Self taught talent u kno how to figure it out
And im forever proud of anything u do
U wasnt made for the world the world was made for u
