Rowdy

Seemed to show up only overnight
Five letters painted bold and bright
Rowdy

I don't know who wrote them there
But driving around I can't help but stop and stare
And watch the paint dry on the new ones popping up

I don't claim to know a whole lot
This year the songs that I've written are all I've got to show
Most of them I'm not even proud of

I've got friends who are twice as old as
That I've met in bars where I'm not even old enough to drink
But I'll play my guitar there because the open mic night is free
I guess I'm rowdy

There's something that's always attracted me
About living life
Living life free
I just can't wait 'til I turn eighteen
I guess I'm rowdy
I guess I'm rowdy
I guess I'm rowdy
