The Highlands

A young little boy
Naive to the world
Happy and Joyful
Thinking we're all good
Too bad what happened
Would change his livelyhood
As people beat up on him
He never understood
Why they did that
He only wanted to play
By means of the world
Here today
Beaten and broken
He had to find another way
For these types of people
Are here to stay
So he became a nerd
Pressing buttons at his best
To shield him and guard him
To get some rest
The world was his adventure
But he couldn't reset
So the fear consumed him
And he was scared to leave his nest
Clicking the buttons
He never thought
That he could impact people
And leave a mark
To reach out and comfort
With everything he's got
A day late and a dollar short
Yet he still embarked

On a mission
Going whole heart
But sharing it with strangers
As they tore it apart
So he put it back together
Just like a marht
Crafty in nature
Had a practice at a restart
Failed so many times
That he lost count
Repressed parts of life
As if he forgot
So many moments
When he rose above
And beyond his call
To showcase his love
A loving passion
That tragically fell apart
When he worked with what he had
Which wasn't a lot
Broken pieces of an onslaught
See he lost at the battle
When he fought
Mainly because he never sought
To deceit and slander
Skills never taught
And expressed his truth
Realness and was mocked
By the people that surrounded him
What a sorry lot
So he went ahead and on his own
One with the skills
And practice and hown
What'll happen now
No one knows
To even himself
What will bestow
But he pushes on
Wild indigo
From a small town
Mild and in the zone
Letting go of what the years of thrown
The hurt and the insults he has outgrown
Looking back a smile on his face
Everything he has learned
Has now embraced
All and all the spears and
Skills and taste
As if he is a hunter
About to make a kill with haste
Moved on in his life
Aimed higher than before
Ready jump off
That comfortable plateau
No more settling
There's a slope to climb
Up to the highlands
All in due time
