Relinquish
In the beginning he wrote with a pen and pad
At a time when his mother left his dad
He decided to write for a pass time
It helped to remind him what he had
A fire started in his heart, it lit up what was dark
He was losing faith in the music and his forgetting the art
Since he was a child he always felt neglected
Went through the ropes looking for hope
But he didn't get it
All he had to do was connect
But his gut feeling told him no
Always sat around and mopped
He reflected too much and keep it to himself
There are things he just didn't know about time waits for no one and he's wasting moments
Trying to figure out why he was broken
Yeah time waits for no one and hes wasting time figuring out why he was broken
If he could go back to before he was eight
He would fix the fake feelings he created
But he took it too far there's no stopping at this rate
Was handed the truth straight and now has to wait
After all these years he still has the same hate
When he slept he woke up in cold sweat
Insomniac always having panic attacks
Easy to upset still hasn't found help yet
He didn't ask for this all he wants is a reset
Many saw him as a threat
The set of cards are not in his favor
Thinking he needs a savior
Living with regret Isn't the best
Thinking about things unsaid
He keeps thinking what if things are better if I'm dead
This is a story of my life
A time when I hid behind the lines
There a lot of things I didn't let go of
And now I am relinquishing them
You know I wish that I go back in time and spend it wisely
Wish that you couldn't live without me
Wish that I could let go so I wouldn't feel empty
Wish I wasn't a victim of lust and envy
Wish that I could go back and change the verdict so I wouldn't feel guilty
Wish expressed myself more because I felt like I was barely breathing
Wish that I could go back in time and fix every problem
I hope I can live on even after my mom
Because that's something I might not come back from
I hope one day I can help people out of their depression
Wish my father would listen to what we tell him but he remains the same
Wish I could go back in time and help my mother through her pain
Wish I could've been a sun that was bright instead of being the rain hiding happiness away
Wish that I could've changed instead I stayed the same
Wish that I would have took a different path, a different lane
Any other way to make myself a household name
At a time when his mother left his dad
He decided to write for a pass time
