Vulthoom
Somehow they managed to dig their graves
In the dirt that bore them
And the seeds that they've sown
Have fermented and grown
Sinking their roots into the decaying earth
Nothing so destined to self-destruct
So simple in and out
Could ever be meaningful
So by this crutch of the "humane" and by erroneous faiths
Conditioned to regard themselves as preservers
The diminishment of nature, order, and life
Unassiduous insidious spineless invasive idiots
The human animal
Hopelessly fallible
Destined to deliquesce
Powerless nonetheless
You terrible creatures
However quickly you breed
Can't overcome what you can't comprehend
Your vacuous gods
No matter how gilded in gold, will rust
With the fallout of time
Billions look up at the star-soaked skyline
They see, in us, reflections of their decline
The tree of life
Once bearing rotten fruit
Weighing down its hollow trunk
With the horrible weight of man
Edacious simple cells
Crippled by outrageous pride
Hardly individualized
Intelligence is the bullet and heartlessness is the gun
In the mouth of every man from evil father to son
This "humankind"
Its shameless way of life
Like rats racing towards extinction, smiling all the way down
Do not mistake us for saviors
Hold your children and dry your tears
What you thought was invincible?
Nothing
This is not karma
This is not fate
Artless, cold-blooded primates
Instinctively inhumane
In the dirt that bore them
And the seeds that they've sown
Have fermented and grown
Sinking their roots into the decaying earth
Nothing so destined to self-destruct
So simple in and out
Could ever be meaningful
So by this crutch of the "humane" and by erroneous faiths
Conditioned to regard themselves as preservers
