Memories and Movies

If we could get one last call for freedom
And one last call for youth
If we could have one more stand together
Wouldn't it be cool
I remember too clearly all faces that pass
Memories and moments simply packed up in the past
A lot of what I've said I'd like to take it all back
If that means anything maybe we can sit and have a laugh
We were just silly kids then who really knew what we were thinking
I thought I did and clearly did if I said it I was lying
Cause I'm still working it out and working on me
I'm missing ya now and the places i've been
So whats it all mean
Since then a couple have passed
A couple have grown
A couple did last and everyone changed
To a couple congrats on your achievements
And I wish that I could feel the same
Would you believe it if I said I cheated in this game
From the basement to the ballpark
From the bike rack to the rail
From the skate park we grew up in
The little town we called a jail

Memories and Movies
They'll all feel the same
When we're old and grey and useless
Will we regret the yesterdays?

I remember the fires and the sing songs
The crowd was bouncing just to sing along
The island was raging on the bay for Frank Stock
Some good old friends from back in my hometown that I miss today
Fast forward to the one that I promised that I was gonna quit doing all my shit
I let him down and he aint around
We don't talk but what was lost will soon be found I'm sure of it
So follow me down memory lane
Remember me sane
I promise I was just a mess from growing up blessed
In a home without knowing who I am and always swimming backwards
Headed for the deep end taking water by the pound
And its dragging me down
Am I the monster in the mirror
Steering clear of insecurities and fears
Lets have some beers and raise em up for friends and days gone by
As I'm remembering why in my mind

Memories and Movies
They'll all feel the same
When we're old and grey and useless
Will we regret the yesterdays?
