Flatland

Flatland!

Red white and blue
Every two or three miles
Here and there the stars and bars
Heading home
Fertile fields and four-block towns
Feel the wind and look around

Miles and miles of level ground
Who would guess the world is round?
I've seen things I can't explain
Some folks vanish, some remain
Something strange is going down in Flatland
You can say you never saw it coming
Over the shifting sands
But the signs were there all along

Flatland!

Red versus blue
Overcast November
Thankful for this bread and wine
Leaving home
Setting sail for ports unknown
Just what have I left behind?

Miles and miles of level ground
Who would guess the world is round?

I've seen things I can't explain
Some folks vanish, some remain
Something strange is going down in Flatland
You can say you never saw it coming
Over the shifting sands
But the signs were there all along

Flatland!

I've seen things I can't explain
Some folks vanish, some remain
Something strange is going down in Flatland
You can say you never saw it coming
Over the shifting sands
But the signs were there all along

Flatland!
