Sophomore Syndrome

Call me a waste of time
Call me a waste of breath
I never lost my way, oh I just haven't found it yet
Waste all your energy on trying to rekindle mine
But that won't happen, go away
Just trust me when I say I'm fine
I've got so much to do
But I just can't get out of bed
Stare at this lava lamp
And get caught up inside my head
Fall back asleep before
I wake up in the dead of night
To pour a bowl of cereal
And start my morning off just right
I'd try to fix my life but
I just don't know where to start
Maybe these twisted thoughts or
Maybe it's my broken heart
I try to focus and achieve a thousand-mile stare
But nothing adds to nothing
Equals nothing going anywhere
Sophomore syndrome's sinkin' in
And I don't even think I care
