Disappearing Satellites
I want to see where
The ocean meets the sky
They say there's a land there
Where the dead are still alive
And there's a lion waiting for me
Living in his gold and free country
Across cerulean where the rabbits go to sleep at night
With all the friends I used to see
Cradled in the arms of Persephone
Scanning all of the skies for disappearing satellites
But now I know that
The ocean marches by
The sky doesn't notice
They're just parallel lines
And there's nothing waiting for me
Living in the cold reality
Never gonna know where the rabbits go fall asleep at night
With all the people I used to be
Trying to explain away mystery
There's still nothing I can say for disappearing satellites
I buried my compass
In the dust pile on the shelf
No picture in a spyglass
Can save me from myself
Can't save me from myself
The ocean meets the sky
They say there's a land there
Where the dead are still alive
And there's a lion waiting for me
Living in his gold and free country
Across cerulean where the rabbits go to sleep at night
With all the friends I used to see
Cradled in the arms of Persephone
Scanning all of the skies for disappearing satellites
But now I know that
The ocean marches by
The sky doesn't notice
They're just parallel lines
And there's nothing waiting for me
Living in the cold reality
Never gonna know where the rabbits go fall asleep at night
With all the people I used to be
Trying to explain away mystery
There's still nothing I can say for disappearing satellites
I buried my compass
In the dust pile on the shelf
No picture in a spyglass
Can save me from myself
Can't save me from myself
