Tapestry
I swear I've seen it all
And I ain't seen nothin yet
The foliage in fall
The winters subtle threat
The reason I moved west
The place that I like best
Was callin me
The palm trees on my street
That's what I mean
I feel for all the ones who up and left me
Turns out they weren't strong enough to bare
The type of life we live up in the mountains, in RVs
And the vans that got us there
I know what life's like in the city
And I've traveled east to Vietnam
Been around the world in different circles
But it's hard to match the freedom that we've got
Now I'm not sayin that there aren't places that I'd like to see
And the tons of cities and tons of people way different than me
I'm a tapestry of the things I've seen
Places I've been and things I've dreamed
And I've learned about some useful conversation
The folks I've met have taken me to places
I've only seen in dreams
You never get too lonely in California
Shaded by the pines of Oregon
You might not understand it if I told ya
So let me show ya
On the farm is where we've grown
On the road is where we're prone
Come over, join the family, come on in
I'm tucked away
Hid inside a dream
If you don't hear from me anymore
I'm floating down a stream
I'm on a holiday
Permanently
Where the sky is blue and the grass is green
They work us hard out in the fields
Planting seeds and diggin holes
And in turn the things we yield
Well, we live for those
The types of spirits that we are, we crave the road
The desert air, the salty wind, and the old growth
Our pallet is the countryside
The paintbrush is our will to drive
And every country that I find myself in
A little piece of me gets left behind
If you picked up all those pieces you would see the
Tapestry of
My life
You never get too lonely in California
Shaded by the pines of Oregon
If ya let the wild country out there hold ya
It'll mold ya
On the farm is where we've grown
On the road is where we're prone
Come over, join the family, come on in
Come over, join the family, come on in
And I ain't seen nothin yet
The foliage in fall
The winters subtle threat
