I was driving down the road when I saw you
It's been a while, you haven't called or wrote
The way I do

You were posted up and spacing out against a tree
Ain't it strange the things i thought I lost came back to me

That afternoon
It's funny how I noticed you
Dirty, cute and dirty roots
Hair locked tight, it took all night
To get my head straight
And my eyes
To realize

You were lonely, or at least alone
For a change
Ya never knew about solitude
It never came

Always one to hop around
And that's okay
But it sure was good
To see your face
