Blessed

Stop, for once in your life
Wait, just give it a chance
Think, what if I'm right
And there's a God who loves you, and He's just waiting for you to invite him inside

Hear the mysteries spoke within
Taste the honey and the milk
Touch the wounds in His hands and His side
See the lepers cleansed, and Lazarus come alive

There's a life I know that never ends
And it begins with a death to one's own interests
One way or another we'll pass through that veil
And find ourselves just beyond, we'll be no longer frail
So when the Spirit calls, do not harden your hearts
Listen, and you will enter that rest
And I know you'll be blessed

Stand strong on His promises
Run in grace, the race He has given you
Take on your dragons, wearing the armor of the Lord
And over the battlefield, like an eagle you will soar

Share everything that He's given you
Love forever, cuz you know it's what you were made to do
Care for the neighbors, He's put around you near and far
Tell all the world, how He opened your eyes and your heart

Yeah this is the life I know that never ends
It begins long before we draw our final breath
It flows from the only true fountain on high
Sets you free to give all, cuz it never runs dry
So when the Spirit calls, do not harden your heart
Listen, and you will enter that rest
And I know you'll be blessed

Now rest, you've come to the finish line
Be at peace, your battles are won
Do not fear for the ones you left behind
They are held by the love of the Son

Wait, I can't yet come after you
I still have much work down here that He's called me to do
But that day will soon come, and I'll see you again
When great grief and great joy become one

So when the Spirit calls you home
Do not harden your heart, go along
And for you who have entered eternal rest
I know you're blessed
