Heavens Within

After going through hell
It's hard to tell where all this peace is coming from
The wars that I was fighting inside are finally won
The battles took a toll on my soul
But now I'm regaining control
It's hard to believe that it's over but is it done
I been thinking about
Thinking about it
And not to be apprehensive but really I doubt it
I'd love to say it's convincing
But maybe being defensive is better
Cause thinking life can be easy is childish
And I'm past all that cause I'm grown now
Had to learn to do a lot of things I wasn't shown how
Not to blame it on my folks
I know they love me and it showed
They just never took the roads that I've drove down
They did the best that they could with what they were given
Into this world they brought me I swear I'll never forget it
Showed me to be a person with purpose and make a difference
I'm grateful for all they taught me
And searching for all they didn't

Are you happy with where you are
Look at what you've accomplished
Who knew you'd make it this far
Climbed up so many mountains
Spectators hoping you'd fall
Didn't have many options
Said fuck it and took 'em all
And I never gave up
Cause I couldn't give up
If you hear me and you're struggling
You shouldn't give up
In the lowest of the moments
When you feel like you're stuck
Just keep moving just keep going when the going gets tough
It gets better with time
Just as long as you grind
You may feel like you can't make it
But its all in your mind
And it's yours and you can change it
All the pressure you've been facing
Like a diamond in the making
