Who Are You?

Who are you?
The question that resides in our brains
The quest to discover purpose
The quest to rescue our identity
The quest to give life meaning
If asked this question can you boldly reply?
With evidence to solidify your claims
They say this is the mission of the early twenties
Discovery and committing to purpose
Yet again I ask, who are you?
And no I don't simply mean your name
Though that's not a bad start
Identity is much more complex
It calls to our traits
It points to our character and values
It clicks at our strengths
It growls at our weaknesses
It weighs our mentality
Identity is like an anchor for a sailor
Without it we roam endlessly
The hospitals can't admit you without it
Neither could the schools
You can't drive without it
You better master this part of your partner before saying yes
Else prepare your Brexit
But before my exit
Who are you?
