Witchhaven

Traveling through the ancient forest of a long forgotten earldom
Dusk was falling, the wings of darkness embraced my soul
I settled myself down on the side of the forest
To survive one more night in this strange country

Under the coat of darkness evil creatures
Came to tear my sweet, warm flesh, limb from limb
I felt the slaver on my skin corroding my body
Their teeth and claws promised to die a cruel death soon

I cast a spell and the sky turned red from the blood of my enemies
I felt the power in my veins being frightened to get lost

Will this be worse than losing my life
Will I never be myself again
Trying to control my feelings not to get rid of my sense of life
I felt my coming victory but I lost my consciousness

I awoke in a sinister hall only lightened by few torches
Silent chants echoed from surrounding arcades
I stood up and took a look at the room
My eyes fell on a letter and on it was written: Welcome to Witchhaven

Memories of an old fairy tale came to my mind
An ancient castle built in an unknown land far away
When I began to realize my abilities I began to long for this unreal shelter
Later, when I grew up, I left my village where I was despised my whole life

Every day on my way to this dreamlike place
Mostly alone, to lands no human eye had ever seen before
I lost all hope when I came to this hopeless country
And I almost paid for it with my life, but now I'm here, home

I found the occupants of this refuge later, they killed me in agony
