Asleep at the Crossroads

My youth was a sleeping off
It was the sounded sleep I've ever had
My umbilical cord was cut off like a bar tab

I remember the dreams I dreamed
And they all consisted off
Dreaming that I had woken up

We are late
So we are speeding towards our fate

My heart woke with a headache
It's a drunken, lazy child
I support and let live in the basement beneath my mind

And it does nothing all day
But watch my thoughts like television
And complains it's too late for it to be in a generation

We are late
So we are speeding towards our fate

I fell asleep at the crossroads
And dreamed I took every direction
But when I woke I was faced with making a decision

So I thought and thought and thought
About every possibility and end
But grew so tired from it all I fell asleep again

We are late
So we are speeding towards our fate
