Casket For The King

When the king took Ill
He told the court that he'd be buried with his gold
But the weight was too much for the team of 8 To hold
I was then elected to haul him with my team of Belgian mares
But the weight felt like the cannon balls he ordered through the air

I know I should be honored to carry the casket of the king but honestly
He never meant that much to me
They say you can't take it with but the king he surely tried
Until I stashed all his gems and gold out on the roadside

When I got to the funeral it was very late at night
And then the men that grabbed the handles said it felt a little light
The lords stood in a circle, black clad, and looking down
The priest said some pretty words
Then we chucked him in the ground

I know I should be honored to carry the casket of the king but honestly
I he never meant that much to me
They say you can't take it with but the king he surely tried
Until I stashed all his gems and gold out on the roadside

Several years ago the king
Thought make a slight expansion
On all the land of my humble farm
He built a giant mansion
I loaded up his gems and jewels
And the Belgian mares made tracks
He took from me my humble farm now I'm going to get it back

I know I should be honored to carry the casket of the king but honestly
He never meant that much to me
They say you can't take it with but the king he surely tried
Until I stashed all his gems and gold out on the roadside
Watch out
