Who would've thought that it wouldn't last
But fast forward a few
It was over for G.I. Joe, dude
Now I'm 16 falling in lust
I knew forever she would be the one
A couple years later she was done
A couple tears later, I was convinced that I would never get over it
I was so sick
Eventually, I traded tears for beers with my peers
They introduced me to weed smoke, and it seemed dope
The future was a fuzzy topic
I never took the time to think about it
I shoulda thought about it
