Belbee

Well I was struck by this Midwest belle, because
She was what I had dreamed of
And when struck I rang like that far off train whose song she knew
She said, "when we kiss I'm in the stars recalling future
Memories with you on cobblestone streets we've yet to see
And because it terrifies me not to understand what I cannot see
I may run afraid to fall and lose or to repeat."
She says, "I think things are flying way too fast
Gravity please let my feet touch grass
At least long enough to know what's up or down
If I still prayed now'd be the time
I'd drop to these two knees of mine
And ask for clarity which way to go
'Cause I can't be wrong again
Oh no I can't be wrong again
No I can't be wrong again ..."

Well together we could bind our book and stitch the spine with calligraphied lines
Until our book has backbone we can trust
Now we read fairy tales a lot, but don't take for granted what you got
If your heart feels joy why run and search for more?
She says, "Even though the slipper fits I'm terrified you're not my prince
I might rather keep kissing frogs than risk being wrong again
Know I can't be wrong again
Oh no I can't be wrong again
No I can't be wrong again..."
She says, "I think things are flying way too fast
Gravity please let my feet touch grass
At least long enough to know what's up or down
If I still prayed now'd be the time
I'd drop to these two knees of mine
And ask for clarity which way to go
'Cause I can't be wrong again
Oh no I can't be wrong again
No I can't be wrong again... "
