Shadowswinging

I want so badly for everything to be over
With death looking over my shoulder
Our conversations got colder
Ironically after Spring

Words come few and far between now
Try targeting what brought me down
I can't stand the sound of my own voice

Throwing punches in the air where I hope
They land on the dark shadow that casts somewhere over my head
And you never ask me if I'm fine
I try to relay some spiel about how to make us better
My fist circles back to me
And I don't know if it's a worthwhile fight

I want so badly to see the day through rose lens
Some secret that I kept that ate away at my light
I miss all my friends that faded outwards
Something I must have said
Nothing that I can do about it

Throwing punches in the air where I hope
They land on the dark shadow that casts somewhere over my head
And you never ask me if I'm fine
I try to relay some spiel about how to make us better
My fist circles back to me
And I don't know if it's a worthwhile fight
