Baby Grow

I think I miss the rush from my baby steps
To even move a yard was the greatest
Put all my trust in where I'm facing next
I was going hard on the basics
Then it got a little complex your life races all too fast
And you're never given context all you do is get taught to last
Getting older is such a foreign concept we've no interest for this task
All we know is being content, with an index looking at the past
So I gotta lay roots in the awkward ground
Cos I need to break through it's a sort of trial
In order to spout I'm forced to plough to
Get watered for growth not watered down
The grass ain't greener it's all around
And the path less gleaned is least worn out
My mother and father said keep your clout
So I might be a martyr for peaceful vows
I won't disavow
Cos I'm tryna reach heights one line at time
Since I was a tyke I've been tryna survive
Sitting on my trike it's one hell of a ride and I wanna stabilise while I'm still on the rise
Getting my psyche tranquillised
As the whole time this is what life had implied

Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Saying, Baby Grow, Baby Grow
I feel like this could be a lifeline
For a life time

I still nourish my thoughts that's the main condition
Tryna build courage and gains is what I'm nursing for
If I have to flourish by force rather than by volition
Then I'm causing thunder and waves in my perfect storm
There's no cloud server or save it's a straight reload
I've been out earning my stripes painted from head to toe
Kept my nous swerving through gates watching my fate unfurl
With no downturn in my accolades it's the way to grow
No gimics it's a path that we face alone
We're all children and we start in a state unknown
In an image we enhance each frame that rolls
And developing a stance that shapes our mould
Filling out the arc is what makes us whole
These are biblical scales and it's faith we hold
We never will restart so I raise my goal
To reach my pinnacle self and not stay in tow
Cos while I grow I need to be incisive, til the end
Since the day that I was teething incisors
I now render my time as a sequence of findings
Hoping I've been refined as a being who's righteous
That's my freedom and licence
That's what my feeling and vibe is
I'm tryna get my theme to a science

Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Saying, Baby Grow, Baby Grow
I feel like this could be a lifeline
For a life time

This is what I'm saying to myself
It's strange how two little words can help
Looking back and thinking 'bout the old you
Finally big enough to fill my own shoes

This is what I'm saying to myself
It's strange how two little words can help
Looking back and thinking 'bout the old you
Finally big enough to fill my own shoes

Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Baby Grow, Baby Grow
Saying, Baby Grow, Baby Grow
I feel like this could be a lifeline
For a life time
