Writing Pen

A man looks down at his writing pen as it wanders right off the page
He thinks about nothing much at all, other than why he's got nothing to say
Them tears flow down his lonely face, recollecting on a life he once tried
Getting high is about all he can do
Just sits watching smoke level out in the air
Just sits as it all levels out in the air

A gift bought for the wrong reason, it'll sing a guilty song
The lines built in to that crystal wind chime are sturdy and they say it all
All
Well a heart shaped lie can't comfort me, I can't wake up in the morning and think it Means I'm alive
I'll just accept that my pen wandered right off the page and I'll write on whatever it takes

I sat alone just wearing my stare
Listening to some old country songs
I thought about nothing much at all
Other than why I have nothing to say

Sometimes pain creates a light
It'll burn forever way deep down inside
I'll accept that my pen wandered right off the page
And I'll write on whatever it takes
Yeah I'll accept that my pen wandered right off the page
I'll right on whatever it takes
