Party of Me

The world can be a huge party I feel I'm not invited
But people called me
The biggest gatherings of my life don't feel that exciting
Early in the morning

I've been looking at my own trash expecting shining things
While dusting the furniture without looking at my trophies

I'm not perfect, thus
I don't know "perfect" yet
But I still have time to spare

I want to be brave enough to show my dance moves to the world
Enough self-hate, I should never let my heart and soul get cold

Dancing in my comfy clothes

Dancing to the silly notes
Putting fire in the snow
Making noises as I go

I can suddenly stop moving, go perfectly static
Sometimes I feel old
Too busy to get rid of the junk I keep in the attic
Memories got mold

Running from the past just made its monsters more realistic
And instead of growing I just fed my biggest critic
