Depthcrusher
First I was a whale
But only just a calf
I sing for my mother
But I have to come up for air
Then I was a squid
So I could lurk on the bottom
I change my colours
And I pretend to be a rock
Then I was a fish
So I could swim to the sun
In a school of thousands, I lose myself
And we all become one
I crawled up onto the shore and my fins turned to feet
My scales turn to fur and I pant in the heat
I am what my minds have been
And I begin to growl
But only just a calf
I sing for my mother
But I have to come up for air
Then I was a squid
So I could lurk on the bottom
I change my colours
And I pretend to be a rock
Then I was a fish
So I could swim to the sun
In a school of thousands, I lose myself
And we all become one
I crawled up onto the shore and my fins turned to feet
My scales turn to fur and I pant in the heat
I am what my minds have been
And I begin to growl
